Cracked Phone or Laptop Screen in DC: Should You Repair or Replace?

A cracked screen feels like an emergency, but it's usually one of the cheaper problems to fix. In most cases, repairing a screen costs far less than buying a new device, and you keep all your data, apps, and settings exactly as they are.

Repair usually makes sense when the device is less than four or five years old, the damage is limited to the screen, and the device otherwise runs well. Replacement may be smarter when the device is already slow, the battery is failing, or the repair would cost more than half the price of a new one.

Either way, don't wait long. Cracks spread, and moisture and dust can get in and damage the parts underneath.

At Nick Connection, I repair screens on phones, tablets, laptops, and even smart watches. Send me a message with your device model and I'll give you an honest answer on whether repair is worth it. Repair for iPhone can range from $80-$150 for some models.
